This means the attorney did something wrong, but the Bar did not suspend the lawyer. Typically in this case the lawyer's poor behavior is exposed to the public in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.
James's comment: “In 2003, I successfully defended a 2nd Offense DWI matter for a client. The legal fee was fixed and billed at the conclusion of the case. The amount of the actual fee was never in dispute. The issue was whether it was in writing before I accepted the case. The law requires that all fee agreements be in writing and signed at the beginning of the case. I revised my practice to assure that every client is provided with a proposed and final fee agreement in every case.”
