I recently was pulled over on trumped up tickets that basically are so inconsistent they scream I needed a reason to pull you over. (Car freshener hanging on rear view/plates touching a letter on the border of license plate). I was coerced into giving consent to searching my trunk with no probable... cause...and facing a probationary program and loss of license for up to two years if not accepted and completed the probationary program. After giving me sound advice on every single option I had available to me, based on listening to my experience that night when I was essentially harassed by cops because I was just there, Forrest made his legal briefing to the court after filing a motion for suppression. Forrest was able to put together a briefing so profoundly demanding justice be done on my behalf...citing multiple previous high profile cases proving my rights had been violated based on the police report against me and these prior cases. His dossier on my behalf was so strong it convinced prosecution to abandon the hearing, as it was then a huge risk of a sergeant on their police force being exposed and behaving this way regularly. Forrest helped another time to exonerate me from serious charges of expired/no insurance/loss of license without my knowledge of it being so. Within the span of a month - I was pulled over and charged for being uninsured after finding my car insurance was dropped a few months prior - a few weeks later my plates were scanned at a red light and unbeknownst to me my registration had been suspended from when my car insurance fell off. I was cl...ueless as to the penalty for either charge and I had to face both. I faced loss of my drivers license for a few months with the registration suspension alone.. The uninsured motorist charge for first-time offenders was loss of my drivers license for an entire year, up to $1000 in fines and community service - if found guilty. I later found out I had also been charged with a moving violation that had me facing points on my drivers license. Each charge occurred in a separate town. All around it looked pretty grim for me. One attorney I saw prior to Mr. Merrill jumped right into likelihood of us going to trial - like I had no chance - and even trial didn't guarantee me being able to keep my license. Two other attorneys I spoke with over the phone infirmities were serious charges and it wasn't looking too good. The starting costs for any services I would require began at $1000 and ranged up to around $2500 - not including costs that would accumulate if I had to go to trial. When I came across Mr. Merrill's information and contacted him - he didn't sugarcoat the reality I could be facing but left room for hope and I assured me that everything was going to be Ok, that I would be Ok. Ultimately he was able to reduce the registration suspension to a fine under $150 with no further penalty and the uninsured motorist/moving violation was reduced and amounted to also one small fine under $300 - no points, no ccommunity service, no other fines and kept my drivers license/privelages. My family and I are still blown away by what a terrific attorney he is and how he helped me. The irony of Mr. Merrill's cost for services were that I paid a couple hundred under the initial costs I was presented with by the first few attorneys whose services only started at $1000.
