Within the span of a month - I was pulled over and charged for being uninsured after finding my car insurance was dropped a few months prior - a few weeks later my plates were scanned at a red light and unbeknownst to me my registration had been suspended from when my car insurance fell off. I was cl...ueless as to the penalty for either charge and I had to face both. I faced loss of my drivers license for a few months with the registration suspension alone.. The uninsured motorist charge for first-time offenders was loss of my drivers license for an entire year, up to $1000 in fines and community service - if found guilty. I later found out I had also been charged with a moving violation that had me facing points on my drivers license. Each charge occurred in a separate town. All around it looked pretty grim for me. One attorney I saw prior to Mr. Merrill jumped right into likelihood of us going to trial - like I had no chance - and even trial didn't guarantee me being able to keep my license. Two other attorneys I spoke with over the phone infirmities were serious charges and it wasn't looking too good. The starting costs for any services I would require began at $1000 and ranged up to around $2500 - not including costs that would accumulate if I had to go to trial. When I came across Mr. Merrill's information and contacted him - he didn't sugarcoat the reality I could be facing but left room for hope and I assured me that everything was going to be Ok, that I would be Ok. Mr. Merrill continued to consistently demonstrate his reliability, trustworthiness, professionalism, genuiness and empathy, as well as, a modest and humble confidence that stemmed from the years of experience he's built on. Ultimately he was able to reduce the registration suspension to a fine under $150 with no further penalty and the uninsured motorist/moving violation was reduced and amounted to also one small fine under $300 - no points, no ccommunity service, no other fines and kept my drivers license/privelages. My family and I are still blown away by what a terrific attorney he is and how he helped me. The irony of Mr. Merrill's cost for services were that I paid a couple hundred under the initial costs I was presented with by the first few attorneys whose services only started at $1000.
