Bankruptcy

I hired Robert Stack to handle my chapter 7 bankruptcy. He charged me a flat fee of $2500.00 to handle the entire case. He advised me to max out all of my credit cards ?? Why would I do such a foolish thing like that, in which I did not. He dragged out my case. At my court hearing he came unprepa...red and arrived 1 hr late. 2 months after my court hearing I received a letter from federal court and from the trustee stating I Was granted a chapter 7 discharge. Robert Stack continued to call and txt my cell phone for the next 7 months at all different times of the day and night. What attorney calls a client at 11:30 pm on a Sunday, or any other day at a rediculus time like that? He continued to state that my case was ongoing and at one point requested an additional $2500.00 to resolve my issue. That request was made 5 months after I was discharged in federal court. Unknown to Mr Stack, I was in constant contact with the judges office in federal court. They advised me that my case was officially closed. The trustees findings were, I was a no asset chapter 7 bankruptcy. Robert Stack wanted me to believe that my case was still ongoing. I was advised to file criminal complaints against him and notify the ethics committee. I recently discovered that he has done the same thing to several other clients of his. I only hope this message saves someone from going through all the stress and aggravation this attorney put me through. It's actually affected my health.

Represented us on a time consuming failed sale of our home in Riverdale NJ

We decided to write this review after dropping this law firm and using another that performed excellently on our real estate sale. Our grievance with this law firm was related specifically to the three categories rated. Their service agreement with our legal plan is to respond to their clients with...in 24 hours, which is an industry and professional standard. This absolutely did not happen as there were multiple unanswered phone calls, messages and emails. We should never have gone days, or weeks, without a response. The lawyer mentioned numerous phone call attempts, but we have no evidence of those. Certainly if there had been unsuccessful phone attempts, then an email would have sufficed. We didn't expect daily updates, but when we did reach out, we had a specific need or question and expected a response. We received very few. Our intention is never to be rude, but frustration does occur when one’s correspondence is consistently ignored. Their lack of responsiveness made us feel as though their office was too busy for us and our small real estate deal was not a priority because we were just some clients from the legal plan. Consistent follow-up and responsiveness from the lawyers office to us could have mitigated our frustration. We have the complete communication history between us and this lawyers office that supports the overall rating

Unprofessional

We all know lawyers are a bunch of con artists but this guy is real slime. I went to him to file for bankruptcy and even though I was upside down on my mortgage he told me I didn't owe enough. He told me to run up my credit cards another 60k and then he would be able to file me. He was happy to colle...ct his $100.00 consultation fee though. A year later I went to another attorney who couldn't understand why he would do that, filed me under chapter 7. I made 20k in payments I didn't have to because of this a$$hole. I filed a complaint with attorney ethics and of course got nowhere because all these a$$holes stick together like glue. Do yourself a huge favor and stay away from this POS SLIME BALL! All he knows how to do is rip you off for a consultation fee.
