I am the founder and managing partner of Mintz & Geftic, LLC. I have been a practicing New Jersey attorney since 1972. After graduating from Rutgers College, I attended New York Law School and then worked as a law clerk for The Honorable John D. Collins, J.S.C., Morris County Superior Court, Morristown, New Jersey. After the clerkship, I worked for a small law firm in Rahway, New Jersey where I learned many of the skills necessary to manage a successful law firm. Since those early years and with the help of two very well respected partners, experienced lawyers, and a dedicated staff, we were able to build and develop Mintz & Geftic, a small firm that gets BIG results.
My background and practical experience prepared me for a future in the law profession. Over the years I have interviewed thousands of people, and I make the initial determination to investigate the cases presented to our firm.
Our office has handled all types of personal injury and workers’ compensation cases. I continually interview seriously injured people caused by automobile accidents, fall downs, dangerous products, and hazardous working conditions. Every case is different. Many people have suffered injuries ranging from repetitive use to toxic exposures from years of performing arduous and sometimes hazardous jobs. Some workers do not know that there are laws to protect them and help them with financial burdens and medical care they will need in the future. Some workers do not know that New Jersey has laws to protect them from employers who do not pay them overtime or minimum wage. At Mintz & Geftic, we make sure that every potential client that walks in our door is provided with the necessary advice.
My long experience in the area of work related claims has also prepared our office to handle other matters like wage and hour violations as well as class actions and consumer fraud cases.
Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals.
