Biography
Matthew Pustay is a founding partner at Pustay & Wells, LLC. He focuses his practice on criminal defense, municipal matters and DUI defense. Matthew was previously a Special Deputy Attorney General, Assistant Prosecutor with the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office. In his time as a prosecutor Matthew handled all types of criminal offenses including First Degree Felonies from inception through trial. He has handled both jury trials and bench trials with successful results in each.
Additionally, Matthew was previously associated with the firm of Parker, Ibrahim & Berg, LLC where he focused his practice on the representation of financial institutions in connection with financial services-related litigation matters. During his tenure at Parker, Ibrahim & Berg, Matthew was a founding member of their white-collar criminal defense practice group. He is admitted to practice law in the States of New Jersey and New York.
Matthew received his Juris Doctor from Rutgers University School of Law, Newark, and his Bachelor of Science degree from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, where he participated as a member of the Varsity Baseball Team.
