Jared A. Geist

Jared A. Geist, Esq. specializes in family law including divorces, custody disputes, child support issues, domestic violence, DYFS (DCPP matters) and post divorce matters. Mr. Geist has litigated over 100 divorce cases and over 300 family law cases since his legal career began in 2009. His practice also includes immigration,  bankruptcy and civil litigation. Mr. Geist currently serves as the Prosecutor for the Borough of Bogota as well as the Counsel for the Borough of Ramsey Shade Tree Commission in Bergen County, New Jersey.

Mr. Geist graduated from Central Michigan University in 2005 with a B.S. double major in Journalism and Political Science. He graduated from the Michigan State University College of Law in 2008 with a Juris Doctor. Before joining Garces, Grabler & LeBrocq, Mr. Geist was an associate with the law firm of Cillick & Smith located in Hackensack, New Jersey. Prior to that, he served a Judicial Clerkship during the 2008-2009 Court year with the Hon. Kenneth J. Slomienski, J.S.C. in the Bergen County Superior Court.   He also previously taught legal research seminars for LexisNexis.

Jared Geist is licensed to practice law in New Jersey and Michigan, and he is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Bergen County Bar Association, and the Michigan State Bar Association. Jared is an Eagle Scout and volunteers with the Boy Scouts of America. He lives in Dumont, New Jersey where he is active in the community.
