Sophia represented me in a few criminal matters, and helped save my life. I had a serious drug addiction and was facing very serious charges. Most importantly, she kept a felony off of my record, which in my case, seemed improbable at best. Beyond her excellent professional skill, she is an extremely... caring person. I felt she was invested in my case and me personally. I drove her nuts by not showing up for court and dodging calls. She stuck it out, and kept me from jail and a record. Having received two points paying traffic violations I decided I would go and make a court appearance in the hope of getting one of them thrown out or at least the point tally reduced. I showed up to court right on time, about 5:30 pm, and proceeded to go through the regular court routine of standing... in one line after another and not really getting anywhere. After doing this for almost an hour and a half and not even getting to talk to the prosecutor yet I found that my plan to represent myself was very misguided. At this point I decided to get a lawyer and got in touch with Ms. Shalaby. What happened next was nothing short of amazing. Within 10 minutes, with no previous appointment, she met me in the courtroom lobby. After 5 more minutes she was done talking to the prosecutor and we were up in front of the judge. 5 more minutes and I was walking out of there with just a fine and no points on my license. She was up front and informative. Very confident throughout the process. She laid out her plan and even though it all happened very quickly still managed to have me clued in along the way. Next time the very first thing I will do is pick up the phone and get in touch with Ms. Shalaby. I highly recommend everyone to do the same.
