Thomas Rudolph Kobin

Tom focuses his practice on complex civil litigation, as well as governmental, school, labor and employment law, representing individuals, municipalities, counties, authorities and school boards in a variety of litigation and compliance  matters.  Tom heads Chasan Leyner & Lamparello’s Labor Law Department.  Tom's civil litigation practice includesemployment, constitutional, construction claims, and insurance coverage actions.  Tom actively works with clients to prepare and implement policies prohibiting discrimination and harassment, and provides training under those policies. Among his clients, Tom presently serves as the attorney for North Hudson Regional Fire and Rescue, the East Rutherford Board of Education and as Special Counsel for the County of Morris.  Tom also played an important role in the formation of the North Hudson Regional Fire and Rescue, the State’s largest regionalized fire department and now a national model for shared services.  Tom’s significant accomplishments have been recognized by the New Jersey Law Journal, which in 2006, selected him to the "40 Under 40" list, which named 40 accomplished lawyers in the state of New Jersey under the age of 40.
