Biography
Joseph A. Lagana practices in the areas of insurance defense and civil litigation, concentrating primarily in personal injury protection (PIP) litigation and arbitration. He also assists the firm in various labor and employment litigation matters, as well as municipal defense. Joseph was recently named a “New Jersey Super Lawyer Rising Star” by Law & Politics, published by New Jersey Monthly Magazine.
Prior to joining Chasan Leyner & Lamparello, PC, in 2008, Joseph represented clients in general litigation, criminal defense, chancery practice, and environmental matters. He served as law clerk to Hon. John A. Conte, Superior Court, Criminal Division, Bergen County Vicinage.
In addition to his active practice, Joseph serves as a NJ State Assemblyman for the 38th legislative district. His committee assignments include Assembly Financial Institutions and Insurance, Judiciary and Appropriations. Joseph also previously served his community as Council President in the Borough of Paramus, sitting as Chairman of the Budget Committee and Labor Negotiations.
