Nicholas M Torres

Nicholas Manuel Torres was born the son of Cuban immigrants, who came to the United States seeking freedom and opportunity.  A graduate of Seton Hall University, in 1994 he earned his Juris Doctor Degree from Brooklyn Law School, in Brooklyn, New York.   

Following his admission to the bar, Mr. Torres was an associate and then partner at the Ginarte Law Firm based out of  Neawrk New Jersey for over twelve years.  He has vast experience in handling complex personal injury matters from intake through trial. In his many years of practice as a civil litigator, Mr. Torres has represented thousands of accident victims and has obtained millions of dollars in compensation for his injured clients. 

Mr. Torres has experience handling the following types of cases: wrongful death actions; motor vehicle accidents; falls on snow and ice and as a result of defective sidewalks, walkways or stairs; falls in supermarkets, apartment buildings and other commercial establishments; defective elevators and escalators; industrial accidents involving defective products; construction site accidents; assaults at school and in the workplace; inadequate security; children suffering lead poisoning; nursing home neglect; personal injuries sustained in fires, chemical exposures and hot water scalding incidents; dog bite liability; amusement park accidents; accidents involving dangerous conditions of public properties and/or the negligence of public employees; employment discrimination, wrongful termination and sexual harassment.

Together with his partners John Biggiani and Jorge Hernandez, Mr. Torres in 2007 formed the law firm of Hernandez, Torres & Biggiani, a civil litigation law firm dedicated to providing personalized and professional legal representation to accident victims.  With offices in Elizabeth, Newark and West New York, New Jersey, the firm served the needs of its clients from July 2007 through September 2015.

In September, 2015, Mr. Torres proudly established his own law practice under the name of Nicholas M. Torres, LLC, continuing his office locations in West New York, Newark and Elizabeth, New Jersey.   More dedicated than ever to serving his clients, Mr. Torres vigorously represents accident victims in the pursuit of justice and with the goal of obtaining the maximum recovery possible for their injuries. Mr. Torres personally handles each client matter from initial intake through settlement or trial. The Torres Firm’s highly trained bilingual staff help to provide the best possible service to clients in a courteopus and friendly manner.    

Mr. Torres is admitted to practice law in the United States District Court, for the District of New Jersey and in the States of New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.  He is a long time member of the New State Bar Association, Civil Trial Bar Section and of the New Jersey Association For Justice.  Mr. Torres is fluent in Spanish and English.
