Corinne E. Rivers

Corinne E. Rivers is an attorney that focuses her practice in the areas of employment law, civil rights law and civil litigation.  She is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York and the District of Columbia (inactive), and before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Prior to establishing Rivers Law LLC, Ms. Rivers worked for an employment law firm where she successfully represented employees in a variety of complex federal and state law employment matters including employment discrimination, retaliation, harassment, whistleblower activity, wage and hour violations, violations of the Family Medical Leave Act, unemployment compensation and breach of contract.  She has successfully litigated, mediated and settled numerous employment cases with results favorable to the employee.  In addition to her employment law practice, Ms. Rivers has experience in civil rights law, real estate law, family law, healthcare law, criminal law, municipal court practice and civil litigation. She currently serves as Assistant Township Attorney for the Township of Irvington. 

Ms. Rivers received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English, cum laude, from Spelman College in 2004 and her Juris Doctor from Rutgers School of Law-Newark in 2008.  Upon graduating law school, she served as Judicial Law Clerk to The Honorable Frances L. Antonin, JSC.

Ms. Rivers is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Association of Black Women Lawyers of New Jersey and the American Bar Association.  She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
