During the initial, free consult, where all my supporting documentation was provided, she said they’d seek about $600,000 on my behalf. I then paid $2,500 to begin the process. A few weeks later I paid another $750. Shortly thereafter, she began to mention how weak my case was, how she’d be l...ucky to have it not thrown out immediately and that there was probably a $50,000 nuisance value that could be the basis of a settlement. When I refused to play along, I was fired as a client. Simply put, if she didn’t like the merits of my case, she should not have taken me on as a client and charge me $3,250 for a few phone calls after our free consult.
