Michelle T Thompson

Since the start of her legal career, Michelle has devoted her practice exclusively to family law. With years of focused experience, she brings a thoughtful, balanced approach to her work combining empathy with steady and effective advocacy. Michelle is drawn to family law because of its deeply personal and real-life nature. She understands that clients often come to her during incredibly difficult and emotional times. For that reason, she places great value on building genuine, trusting relationships with the individuals and families she serves.

Whether guiding clients through divorce, developing parenting plans, or handling complex custody matters, Michelle approaches each case with care, clarity, and a practical, solutions-focused mindset. While she encourages cooperative, amicable resolutions whenever possible—especially when children are involved—Michelle is also an experienced courtroom advocate. She has spent much of her career litigating family law matters and is fully prepared to take a case through trial when necessary. Her clients appreciate her ability to stay grounded and compassionate while still advocating fiercely on their behalf.

Michelle received her Bachelor of Arts summa cum laude in history from Kean University in Union, New Jersey and consistently earned placement on the Dean’s List each semester. She earned her Juris Doctor from UALR Bowen School of Law in Little Rock, Arkansas and served on the board of multiple student organizations: American Constitution Society, If/When/How: Lawyering for Reproductive Justice, the Environmental Law Society and was also a participant in Moot Court. During her final year, she served on the Dean’s Advisory Board. While earning her Juris Doctor, Michelle worked for the ACLU researching State and Federal Laws regarding LGBTQ+ discrimination and reproductive rights.
