When Times Were Tough They Were Just a Phone Call Away

I would like to thank Emily and Jeralyn for the support and help they gave me during the divorce. It was very stressful for me during the divorce. Both Emily and Jeralyn were there for me. Emily answered any questions that I had very truthfully. I was told all the messages that occurred between h...er and my ex-wife’s attorney. Good Lawyers, if you are going for a divorce, and most importantly, after the divorce. When times were tough, they were just a phone call away.

Made a difficult time easier

I had found Jeralyn through an attorney search and decided to meet with her because of the Law firm she works with. Jeralyn is a divorce attorney, so can't say I met with her under the best of circumstances. I was very emotional at the consultation. Jeralyn' patience and understanding were tested by ...me, but she listened and gave her best recommendation. I did select Jeralyn for my attorney. She made me feel protected and cared for. I trusted her to fight for me and i allowed her to do a majority of the speaking for me. She never made a move or said anything that she did not ask me about first. I was well informed by her and her entire team. Like I said, finding her under the circumstances I did, I could not have made a better choice. I felt like I was part of her family with how she cared for me. If I had to go thru a divorce, I am glad I went through it with Jeralyn. She was my hero.

Inaccessible and Disconnected Representation

I recently went through a challenging divorce process, and unfortunately, my experience with Jeralyn left much to be desired. I felt compelled to share my experience to help others make informed decisions when choosing legal representation. Throughout the entire process, I found it exceptionally d...ifficult to reach and communicate with Mrs. Lawrence. It would often take up to nine days to get a response to even the simplest questions or concerns I had regarding my case. This lack of accessibility created unnecessary stress and uncertainty during an already emotionally charged time. What compounded the issue was the fact that much of the work and communication on my case was delegated to her paralegal. While I understand that lawyers can have busy schedules, especially when appointed to the NJ bar, it was frustrating to have minimal direct interaction with Jeralyn herself. Effective communication with one's attorney is crucial, and in my case, it was severely lacking. I believe that effective communication is a fundamental aspect of any lawyer-client relationship, especially in such sensitive matters as divorce. In my case, the lack of involvement and responsiveness from Jeralyn significantly hindered the progress of my case and added to my frustration. I would caution anyone considering Jeralyn as their legal counsel to carefully assess their accessibility and willingness to engage with clients promptly. Legal matters can be complex and emotionally draining, and it's crucial to have an attorney who is not only knowledgeable but also accessible and committed to your case. While I cannot speak to Jeralyn's legal expertise, having only worked together 3 months, I believe that transparent communication and active involvement are crucial components of effective legal representation, which, regrettably, I did not experience during my divorce proceedings with her. I hope my feedback helps others in their decision-making process, and I sincerely hope that Jeralyn can improve their accessibility and client communication in the future.

Since this is an anonymous review, we are uncertain if this is a former client of ours. We suspect it is not as we diligently adhere to a firm policy of responding to clients within 24 hours of being contacted. In fact, we have received an abundance of reviews that compliment our firm’s responsiveness, attention, support, passion and advocacy. For example, Samantha left a 5-star review advising that the firm went “above and beyond expectations” and that she “always received prompt responses from [me] and [my] legal assistant.” Similarly, John provided a 5-star review stating that I was “very responsive and stayed focused on the big picture.” These directly contradict this anonymous review. All members of this firm pride themselves on being keenly responsive to clients, and this practice will continue to ensure our clients are satisfied with our services. We appreciate any opportunity to reiterate our mission.
