Exceptionally skilled and honest!

In 2005, I was struck by a car while crossing a highway intersection on foot, sustaining serious injuries. My original lawyer waited until the day before the statute of limitations was to expire, to file my case, and then filed it in the wrong county. In 2012, I learned through my daughter (who was w...orking at a law firm and accessed my case through the court website) that my case had been dismissed two years prior because my lawyer failed to provide discovery to the defendant. I then found Mr. Whelan who contacted my original lawyer to take over the case, but there was no response. Given the short notice and lack of communication with my prior attorney, Mr. Whelan obtained a court order restoring my case and permitting him to act as my attorney. He was able to bring my case back to the active list two weeks prior to it formally being dismissed by the court. However, because the case was so old, the court would only allow a very limited time to complete discovery. In a few short months, Mr. Whelan was able to obtain all of my medical records from my providers, arrange for follow up visits to my doctors, secure expert reports and updates, and then settle the case for an amount that was very satisfactory to me. I will never forget my attorney's dedication to obtaining a substantial recovery for me under a severe time deadline and with no cooperation from my former lawyer. Also, Mr. Whelan was very accommodating of my limited English throughout the case and my lack of understanding of the American court system. My family is currently using his services on another matter and I can recommend him wholeheartedly and without reservation. RS
