Sara E. Kucsan

Sara received her undergraduate degree from Rochester Institute of Technology in Criminal Justice with a minor in Legal Studies in 2012. She received her Juris Doctorate in 2014 and her Master of Laws in Homeland and National Security in 2015 from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School. While in law school, Sara served as a student attorney for the Washtenaw County Office of Public Defender, where she was a guardian ad litem, and she served as an intern at the Detroit Crime Commission focusing on human trafficking policies. She also served as a research assistant for her law school professor, focusing on primarily matters with juvenile offenders. From there, she also obtained a Certification in Mediation.

After graduating from law school, Sara enjoyed a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Deborah J. Venezia, P.J.F.P., of the Middlesex County Superior Court, Family Part. During her clerkship, Sara was responsible for various family matters, including divorce, post judgment matters, and adoptions. She also regularly mediated landlord tenant and a small claims matters. Since joining the Lyons & Associates team, Sara has served the Courts as a guadian ad litem and has authored various articles on issues within family law.

Sara is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York. Sara is also a member of the Middlesex County Bar Association.
