Dennis Shlionsky

Dennis Shlionsky is a Partner with the firm’s Accidents/Personal Injury Practice Group.

Born, reared, and educated in the Garden State, Dennis has spent his entire career representing ordinary people injured through no fault of their own. His practice handles personal injury cases of every kind and complexity across all 21 New Jersey counties, ranging from car, motorcycle, truck and rideshare accidents to falls on public or private property, Tort Claims Act cases against government entities, broker malpractice, wrongful death claims, and other catastrophic injury cases.

Dennis recognizes the value of a timely resolution, but he does not hesitate to take a case to trial when the circumstances demand it – an approach that has produced more than $50 million in recoveries against insurers and corporations that refuse to fairly compensate families affected by life-altering circumstances.

He takes pride in his caring, empathetic approach – building trusted relationships with his clients and their families while working diligently to help them obtain the compensation they deserve. With extensive experience guiding people through the legal system, Dennis remains responsive and accessible to his clients, answering questions, providing regular updates, and offering support at every stage – from initial consultation through treatment and final resolution.

Dennis’ results and advocacy have earned consistent recognition from the legal industry. He has been recognized in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America® in 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026 in the Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs category. He has also been listed as a “Rising Star” by New Jersey Super Lawyers from 2019 through 2026.

Dennis was included in ALM’s 2022 Northeast Top Verdicts & Settlements list for his work on a motor vehicle settlement in Bergen County and has been awarded the AVVO Client’s Choice Award from 2021 through 2025. He was certified as a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum in 2026.

In August 2023, The New Jersey Law Journal published his article, “The Evidence Speaks for Itself: A Proposal for the Amendment of Rule 4:14-9.”

Dennis began his career as a General Equity Law Clerk to the Honorable Margaret Goodzeit in the New Jersey Superior Court for Warren, Somerset, and Hunterdon Counties. He went on to practice at established New Jersey litigation firms before joining Einhorn, Barbarito, Frost, Botwinick, Nunn & Musmanno. He is also a former court-appointed mediator, resolving 96% of the matters he mediated.

Having lost his mother to lymphoma as a teenager, Dennis volunteers actively for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. He has been recognized by the Eric Neisser Public Interest Program for contributing to several pro bono ventures, and he has provided pro bono bankruptcy and other assistance to New Jersey and Minnesota’s underrepresented poor and low-income communities through the Morris Stern Bankruptcy Project and Justice Foundation’s Criminal Expungement Clinic.

Dennis is a proud husband and father to his son and daughter. In his spare time, he appreciates coffee, bad puns, reading, and spending time with his family.
