Staff needs etiquette and sensitivity training
I had a a very disappointing experience when I called to schedule a consultation. First off I was being pressured to admit that I received a response for Avvo request I sent over a week. I had to assert that I am on top of my email, texts and Voicemails and no one ever got back to me. Then I questi...
Dear HMB, On May 27th we received a request for a consultation from you through this site. We responded same day via email asking you to contact our office since no telephone number or personal email had been provided through your Avvo request. We did not hear from you until June 3rd - when you contacted our office complaining that we never reached out. Unfortunately that is inaccurate as we have proof of reaching out to you on the same day you made your request. After advising us of our failure to respond you immediately began to question our policy for a consultation and the fee associated with it. We advised that there are three types of consultations available - a 15 minute, 30 minute, and an hour. All fees are clear, non-negotiable and credited towards your legal fees should you choose to hire us. You repeatedly insisted that you knew what you wanted to do, you knew how to do it and YOU DID NOT WANT TO PAY THE FEE. We said that is your right and explained to you why we charge a fee for our consultations and also why we credit that money towards your legal fees - which you did not want to hear. You continued to insist on us quoting you legal fees to which we once again had to decline. It is our policy and procedure to not quote legal fees without a consultation. You don't go to a doctor's office and tell her/him what kind of treatment you want for a problem that you diagnosed and then expect the doctor to agree and follow your mode of treatment without the doctor's evaluation and input. Same goes here. After repeatedly advising you that we will not change our consultation fee or policy for you - you decide to not schedule an appointment. and the call was ended. Within the hour, you called us back and booked a 30 minute consultation for June 6th - only to cancel and post this review of falsehoods. I have built this practice on honesty and with care and concern for every person that calls - this is why I have a successful practice and stellar reviews. I'm sorry that you didn't get what you were looking for and I wish you the best of luck on your immigration journey.
