I would acknowledge that this review was written by an individual whose family I had previously represented, and I attempted to assist them in resolving a dispute via mediation; she controlled the family's finances after securing a power of attorney from her ailing father and then refused to account for substantial funds that she clearly stole from her own siblings. A literal. thief who writes that I am not trustworthy? It doesn't get more hypocritical than that. Sadly, four years and 6-10 attorneys later as I learned from her siblings, their entirely justified claims against this reviewer continued to drag through the court system. I was regrettably unsuccessful in assisting them in reaching an amicable resolution due to the fact that the reviewer stole significant fund from her own siblings,.and despite my repeated requests she refused to provide bank statements pertaining to her father's finances over which she maintained sole control. Her ability to steal from her own family made her uncomfortable with my insistence that no fair resolution could ever be reached in the absence of honesty and full financial disclosure. If my frustration with the dishonesty of this reviewer and her refusal to participate in the mediation process in good faith may be defined as becoming "emotionally involved in the case", then yes, I am guilty; her theft and misplaced sense of self-entitlement unfortunately caused her own siblings to waste their time and money.
