Anthony J. Riposta

We had given a $13,000.00 down payment to a N.J. home builder. In short not long after we found that he was in financial difficulty and shortly after he started bankruptcy proceedings. After before he did we contacted Riposta then "Riposta & Riley) to get our deposit refunded. Well Tony Riposta wante...d nothing to do with this small potato lawsuit and unknowingly to us passed it on to Riley, his then partner. In short she dragged her feet and while we made numerous phone calls to the office no one could tell us precisely what progress was being made. All we did was to receive copies of form letters that were being sent to the contractor asking for our refund. Fast forward a few weeks and and then we find that Riposta is no longer directly involved in the case. Only Riley is and she had been been actively making plans to leave the firm and our case was all but forgotten. In the end after Riley had left the company Riposta told me that what am I complaining about. "I could have blown that much on a trip to Disneyland". Well unlike "Mr." Riposta for us, that amount of money took some time to accumulate.... As far as he was concerned there was then nothing that he could do. "Goodbye" he said. I took thisto a higher level and spoke to someone with authority at the Newark Courthouse in N.J. in Newark. I sent copies of correspondence and informed the gentleman from a Chief Judges the situation. He thought that I had a very excellent case to sue "Mr." Riposta for numerous infractions. However this would have cost more disposable income that I had. So after consulting with my wife we decided to let this episode just go...
