I was having the worst anxiety after watching my life falling apart. I was released from prison on bail facing pending criminal charges and needed a defense criminal lawyer fast! I consulted with Attorney Darnell Crosland and he helped me more than any other attorney I contacted and by far the reales...t and most understanding. He reviewed the details of my case and outlined all the options, adding "I can't make any promises" and I understood that but right away felt immense relief knowing that someone was finally listening, asking relevant questions. Darnell's commitment and rare level of empathy keeps me confident. He is very experienced, and very strategic and sensitive to people, these are qualities that make him a remarkable professional. This attorney appears to be cornering the market for blacks in need of legal representation. I would strongly caution against using him for family related matters. I hired him for representation in a case of false allegation of a restraining order. He took my payment upfront and then rather than rep...resenting me in the matter, he coerced me to accept an agreement in Family Relations which was not to my benefit. I found him collaborating with the other side's attorney in ways that were not in my interest but were in more in his interest to wrap-up the case up quickly so that he could move on. Likewise, I noticed that he had multiple cases pending in different court rooms. He was constantly running from 1 room to the next and did not give my case the attention he deserved. I question whether he gave the other cases the attention they deserved. My feeling was that some of his other clients did not understand what he was doing. Therefore he took advantage of his clients for his fee. I would strongly recommend staying away from this attorney. DO NOT use him because he is black. If I could I would give him zero stars.

I hired Darnell to represent me on dissolution of mariage. He was dishonest and unresponsible lawyer. He sided with my husbands' lawyer and took adventage of me. He never represented me the way i was supposed to be represented. He told me one thing but did something else. Once, there was a conference... meeting. He never told me about it but he was there. After that, in the court room, he told me that judge did not like that i was not present. I said that i want the judge to know that i never knew about it- that was the reson, because he never told me. He said that i can't say anything like that to judge. He was always smiling in the courtroom and did his own thing. He totally distroyed my case. Because of his negligence and legal misrepresentation i was literally on the street without even penny to exist.. He told me that i should not be angry.
