Highly Recommend

Dori-Ellen was very helpful in supporting our cause in an out of state situation that required review of an old CT case.

Personable and strong

Dori-Ellen is knowledgeable, empathetic and strong. She was able to put me at ease and learn about me and my situation, she always gave me good advise and in court stood up to make sure I was well represented. I always felt comfortable and in good hands throughout.

Great Attorney !

Excellent attorney with genuine caring for her client. Ms. Feltman is respectful of the judiciary, appropriately strong with opposing counsel and sufficiently pragmatic enough to settle when it is in her client's best interests. She has a superb grasp of financial matters which is paramount in any ...such proceeding.

The best money can buy

Dori-Ellen represented me in my divorce from my wife. It was a difficult time for me emotionally, and my ex-wife was out for blood. Dori-Ellen is an attack dog. She quickly asserted her dominance over my ex-wife and her attorney, who had a reputation of being a formidable attorney. She was smart, eff...icient, well organized and had an exceptional understanding of the law based on her many years of experience. I didn't think avoiding trial was going to be possible given the fact that my ex-wife didn't have a job and wasn't looking to settle. Dori-Ellen suggested a Special Masters session to help draw us closer to a final resolution. She absolutely dominated the Special Masters session. She clearly presented our case and the facts. My ex-wife's attorney was at a complete loss. Dori-Ellen was forceful and authentic in her delivery and it resulted in us getting the recommendation that we were looking for from the Special Masters. My ex-wife and her attorney were left with no option but to settle our case. If you want to win your divorce case and protect your assets and quality of life, you should hire Dori-Ellen.

Don't recommend

I did not find her trustworthy. When she showed up in court after a lengthy motion without any paperwork in hand for possible agreement and the other side was more than prepared. Her billing practices are also questionable. Recommend court watching when deciding what attorney to retain.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
