Cecilia Buck-Taylor

Cecilia Buck-Taylor, JD has been practicing law for many years and received her JD from Fordham Law School, where she graduated in 1991. She also has dual majors in Psychology and Criminal Justice from the State University of New York, from which she graduated with honors. Cecilia has found that having a degree in Psychology, her law degree and her experience and training in mediation are very helpful in dealing with family and other matters that require more than a straightforward legal approach, especially with mediation services. Her varied education and years of employment before becoming an attorney, as well as her achievement as a Reiki Master, help her provide clients with a well-rounded perspective on a variety of life issues.

Attorney Buck-Taylor’s extensive experience and attention to the specific needs of her clients have been the cornerstone of her practice. This attention to detail allows the law office and mediation center to provide each and every one of its clients with the personalized professionalism that is often hard to find at other law firms.

Buck-Taylor is actively involved in her community and has served as the State Representative for the 67th House District of the Connecticut State Assembly for two terms.

Buck-Taylor was second Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Greater New Milford Chamber of Commerce and served on the Board of Directors of the Danbury Women’s Center. She also served on the New Milford Board of Education and was elected to two terms on the New Milford Town Council. During her second term on the Town Council, she served as vice chair. She was also a member of the Advisory Board for the Community Culinary School of Northwestern CT. Buck-Taylor continues to serve as a Family Master in the Litchfield Superior Court to assist parties in settling their cases.
