Michael K Conway

Attorney Michael K. Conway began the practice of law in Connecticut in 1987. In 1991 he established his individual practice in Waterbury and engaged in the general practice of law. Early on in his legal career he concentrated his efforts in the family law arena representing clients in divorce litigation, custody disputes, child support matters and step -parent adoptions. Moreover, the court has appointed him to represent the interest of children in contested custody matters. Throughout the years, Attorney Conway has devoted much of his practice to family law and serving the needs of these clients as a Greater Waterbury Attorney. In 1987 Attorney Conway became a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, Family Law Section. He was appointed to the Executive Committee of the Family Law Section soon after and later served as an officer of the section until his appointment as the Chair of the Connecticut Bar Association Family Law Section in 2000-2001. Attorney Conway was also appointed as the Chair of the Waterbury Bar Association and continues to be involved in the issues that relate to family law at the local and state level. He is also a member of the American Bar Association, Family Law Section. In an attempt to mediate and settle family disputes, Attorney Conway has served as a Special Master in the Waterbury, Litchfield and Middletown courts. Also, the Regional Family Trial Docket in Middletown is a specialty court that hears only contested custody matters. Attorney Conway continues to sit as a Special Master in this court as well. Attorney Conway is also asked to be a private special master by other attorneys to help mediate and settle cases outside of court.
