Melissa J. Papantones

Attorney Melissa Papantones is a dedicated advocate for injured people in their time of need. Each case she takes on is handled with a great sense of compassion and fierceness in the pursuit of justice for her clients.

Before joining the Carter Mario Law Firm, Attorney Papantones spent most of her professional legal career in insurance defense, specializing in personal injury actions. She also has experience practicing in real estate, probate, wills and trusts, and contracts.

Before earning her J.D. from Emory University School of Law, Attorney Papantones earned her A.B. in English from Vassar College. While attending law school, she took part in a nationally recognized litigation program developed in partnership with the National Institute for Trial Advocacy. She is licensed to practice in Connecticut and Massachusetts.

In addition to her legal work, Attorney Papantones volunteers her time as an arbitrator-fact finder for the Connecticut Judicial Branch and serves on her local Inland Wetlands and Waterways Commission. She is also a certified election moderator and has previously served on her church’s parish council.

A longtime Connecticut resident, Attorney Papantones has lived in the state for over 35 years. She has been married for more than 30 years and is the proud mother of three adult children. Outside of the office, she enjoys golf, cooking, knitting, traveling, and spending time with her family and rescue dog, Schatzi. She’s a fan of world music and enjoys reading classic literature.
