I've had Bill as an attorney for for the past six years and have spent probably $100k with him fighting my ex-wife who suffers from borderline personality disorder and Narcissistic personality disorder. I'm disappointed about spending that much money but I'm not disappointed with Bill's performance. ...He summed it up pretty well too, "when a lunatic is driving the bus you don't have a lot of control over the process" That was pretty good advice about my ex-wife that took a little bit of the sting out of this whole process. I've been through three trials with Bill and he's always been the consummate professional. He's pretty organized and has a quiet, calm demeanor in court. That doesn't mean he isn't fighting for me; he understands that judges don't want an attorney to add to an emotionally charged atmosphere in court. They really, really frown upon that. I would recommend him to a friend, he knows what he's doing and he's very good in a trial situation or a hearing in front of a judge. One final thought - It's pretty clear the other reviews on this page are written by people that seem to think that spending money equates a positive result. It doesn't. Going to court is an expensive process and nobody wins when that happens. Don't expect to go on a "payment plan" with him either, he's a pretty good guy and really cares but he's not a bank. Offering him $500 dollars as one client said when she owed him $6K is really pathetic. I'm sure she knew how much she really owed him too, Bill is pretty good at providing timely statements.

After eating my entire $5,000 retainer, Mr Cashman demanded another $2,500 just to continue. After spending $7,500 and not gaining one minute with my children MR Cashman mailed me a letter in which he tells me that I could not expect the court to force my 14 year old daughter to visit me........ S...HE WAS 10 CASHMAN!!!!! I want my money back your the worst lawyer I ever encountered and I wouldn't hire you to take out my garbage.

I have never met a lawyer as unprofessional as Bill Cashman. He is unaware of most important facts in the cases he brings and his manner in the courtroom consists of little more than insulting his opponents. His own interests come ahead of his clients' and his first priorities are his own fees and hi...s vanity. I would not hire him to walk my dog.

I hired this attorney to represent me in my divoce, at which time I gave him 5,000.00 dollars in march 2013. My ex's attorney would put me on the stand yell at me accuse me of everything, from stealing $ to slander. Attorney Cashman would just stand there and say nothing. I would ask him why he didn...'t say anything his only comment would be the judge will frown upon that in trial. I would call his office to see how the progress was going. He had me gather documents and I made copies of paperwork needed for both attorneys , in june 2013 he said he needed more money to continue . I gave him an additional 500.00 and said I would make payments. The end of August comes around he presented a bill of almost 6,000.00 dollars, he said that would cover me through the trial. I exclaimed to him I didn't have the money at that time. A couple of weeks go by I get a motion in the mail that he doesnt want to represent me any more because I can't pay 2 1/2 weeks . before trial . I had to find a new attorney Theresa Rose Degray for 3,000.00 dollars I was divorced before the trial date. I would highly recommend her. That was something I never saw Attorney Cashman make an attempt to do was negotiate with out going to trial . If he negotiated before a trial he wouldn't get more MONEY!!!!

went through a difficult divorce with this attorney. He doesn't pay attention to details and I believe got clobbered because of it. Very passive, typically lets the other side take the lead and reacts to it. Often asked me what I wanted to do rather than make suggestions. Lost paperwork frequently. D...idn't have much of a plan throughout the divorce action. Often refers to his relationships with other attorneys and judges as a benefit, but I didn't have a single instance when I thought it benefited my case. I would not recommend him
