If you need family law, please call Verna Lilburn first.

I hired Verna Lilburn in regard to a divorce proceeding. I could not be happier with the effort that she and her office put into my case- they were easy to work with and kept me updated at all times. I got good legal advice and assistance through what could have been a VERY difficult process. No ...one is eager to go through divorce, but Verna and her team made it as painless as possible, and I can't thank them enough for the work they did. If you need an attorney for any family law issue, you should strongly consider hiring Verna Lilburn. She and her team were helpful, professional, efficient, and accurate, which is exactly what you need when dealing with legal matters.

An Exceptional Divorce Attorney Who Cares About Her Clients

I am so thankful that Verna Lilburn was my divorce lawyer. From our first meeting to when I signed my papers, she was supportive, honest, knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile to ensure the best outcome for my situation. It was a relief to go through this confusing ordeal with someone I coul...d trust completely—nothing gets past her! She really does care about her clients’ wellbeing; she often checked in to make sure I was handling everything well. When I could no longer put up with my ex-husband’s harassing communications, she did it all for me. Of course I have to mention her paralegal Joanne, who was always a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Attorney Lilburn!! You want her on your side.

Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community

"Ms. Lilburn and I were law school colleagues and remain in contact, although I do not practice in CT. I am often impressed when Ms. Lilburn discusses legal trends and developments. Although we've not practiced together, as a colleague I note that Ms. Lilburn continues all these years later still to exhibit great dedication and knowledge in her discussions. As a profession, attorneys strive to maintain these standards in practice. I am pleased to post these few words about this colleague whose enthusiasm demonstrates high ethics and reflects great commitment to her family law practice."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
