Ruth Nadeau Dwyer

Ruth Nadeau Dwyer is a litigation attorney at Dolan Divorce Lawyers, where she represents clients in divorce, custody, post-judgment, and other family law matters. With more than two decades of legal experience, Attorney Dwyer brings depth, judgment, and a practical understanding of both the law and the family court process to her work with clients.

Attorney Dwyer is well known and highly regarded in the Torrington legal community, the Litchfield County Bar, and neighboring jurisdictions. Her background includes family law litigation, mediation, Guardian Ad Litem appointments, civil litigation, and probate litigation. She understands what judges expect, what the law requires, and how to help clients make thoughtful decisions in matters involving parenting, finances, and family conflict.

Attorney Dwyer combines careful preparation, sound judgment, and a practical understanding of how family law issues are evaluated by the courts. Attorney Dwyer received her Juris Doctor from William & Mary Law School, where she became a certified mediator and received the Gambrell Professionalism Award. She lives in her hometown of Torrington with her son and remains active in the community, including through local nonprofit boards and committees and through her service as a Torrington Constable and a Justice of the Peace.
