Highly Recommend

My experience with Charlie Reed and his team was exceptional and I would wholeheartedly recommend him. I experienced injuries as a result of an animal attack which left me with significant scarring, deformities and emotional trauma. My life, and my family's lives, were forever changed in a matter ...of seconds. After almost a year of trying to navigate the situation on my own, I realized I needed professional guidance. My initial call to Charlie's firm was not only returned immediately from Charlie, but was done so over the weekend while he was out of town. At our initial meeting I was presented with all my options in a professional, clear and honest manner. Charlie made sure that my family and I understood our rights under the law and what the steps toward resolution would be if I chose to proceed with an action, including any challenges that my situation could present. After I hired Charlie, he always worked diligently on my case and made every effort to reach my desired resolution, whether it was in line with his advice or not. Charlie and his assistant Jill were always available to answer my questions and always moved my case forward in a timely manner. Most importantly to me, Charlie and his team treated me and my family with kindness and compassion and respected my requests and wishes, many of which were unconventional for the situation. He was patient when I needed to re-analyze a situation or options, and never judged or criticized when the stress of the situation caused me to act in an illogical manner. Charlie always aggressively defended our positions if challenged and was able to successfully navigate many contentious situations. He often thought outside the box and was able to offer options which I feel helped bring about the most positive resolution. There is no winner and loser when someone is injured in an accident, and I could never truly be made whole or get my former life back, but with Charlie's counsel I was able to agree to what I felt was a fair resolution. He ensured I had an outcome that I was comfortable with given all the variables. It is good to have a competent attorney, but it is great to have a competent attorney that is kind-hearted and truly cares about how a situation will affect his clients. Charlie is that attorney and I consider myself lucky to have had his counsel.

I was referred to Charles P. Reed by a friend. My experience with this lawyer was excellent. He is very professional, with many years of experience. He was very educative in explaining the process and the possible outcome. Him and his staff (especially Jill Diana) worked hard in my behalf, and I woul...d recommend him to anyone looking for a great lawyer

Excellent service related to a suit about a car accident

I was fortunate enough to find & choose Loughlin Fitzgerald of Wallingford, CT to represent me when my car was totaled & I was injured by a reckless driver a while back. The first lawyer I dealt with, W. Glen Pierson, came to my home & very clearly explained the situation to me and what would need to... be done going forward. I was very pleased with his service & that of Loughlin Fitzgerald paralegal, Jill Diana. Some time afterward I learned that Atty. Pierson had left the firm to become a judge & my case was turned over to Attorney Charles P. Reed, who handled the case going forward. He also came to my home and explained the situation very clearly. While he was the consummate professional, I also found him to be friendly and approachable. As the process dragged on (not his fault) I was always able to reach either Attorney Reed or Jill Diana, a Loughlin Fitzgerald paralegal whom I found to be "terrific" on all fronts, and got assistance regarding anything I was concerned about or needed. I was always kept abreast of progress in the case & my calls to the firm were promptly returned. Whenever I had questions, they were either answered quickly or I was called back in a timely manner with answers or information. This was only my second time working with an attorney and I COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE PLEASED WITH MY EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH ATTORNEY CHARLES P. REED OR HIS PARALEGAL, JILL DIANA. They turned what could have been an extremely stressful situation into a relatively stress-free experience. Finally, they got me what I felt was a very excellent settlement!!! I feel lucky to have turned to them during my time of need. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE FIRM OF LOUGHLIN FITZGERALD, ATTORNEY CHARLES P. REED, and PARALEGAL JILL DIANA!!!

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter

"Attorney Reed was opposing counsel in a case where I represented a motorcycle rider that was in a collision with his client, who was driving an automobile. Attorney Reed was a formidable opponent. He is intelligent, understands the law and its application to a case and was a zealous advocate for his client. However, he is also a gentleman and an example of professionalism and a credit to the legal profession."

"Charlie is an exceptionally gifted civil litigator. His intelligent, effective and practical approach to case management and problem solving has deservedly earned him the loyalty of his clients, both corporate and individual. Charlie is widely recognized by Connecticut judges and his colleagues at the bar, as a trial lawyer of the highest caliber and an enthusiastic and important leader in the profession. This confidence is reflected in his election to the presidency of the New Haven County Bar Association for 2010, and his position as managing principal at Loughlin FitzGerald, P.C. I recommend him highly."
