Edward John Bryan

I have practiced family law in Hartford throughout my legal career, with substantial experience handling complex divorces, including high-asset matters involving significant financial holdings, business interests, and complicated property division. My practice combines extensive litigation experience with training in mediation and collaborative divorce, allowing me to approach challenging cases strategically while remaining focused on practical, effective resolutions. I earned my J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law, with a Certificate in Tax Studies, and was elected a Fellow of the Connecticut Bar Foundation’s James W. Cooper Fellows Program. I was recognized by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star from 2014 through 2022 and have served as an adjunct professor at the University of Connecticut, teaching courses involving family law and child welfare. I was appointed by the Chief Court Administrator to the Standing Committee on Guardians Ad Litem and Attorneys for the Minor Child and serve as an instructor for its required training program. I also serve as a court-appointed Special Master in several Connecticut family courts and have authored and presented on various family law topics, including marital agreements, cryptocurrency in divorce, and issues affecting families with special needs children.
