I was injured and didn't expect to need a lawyer until I realized the insurance company was not taking me seriously. Atty. Appleton was recommended to me by a family member and coworker. I have never needed a lawyer before so I didn't know what to expect. My case took a little over 2 years to settl...e, mainly due to the complexity of my injury and the difficult insurance company. Peter and Amanda kept me informed the whole way. They always took the time to explain what was going on, what to expect, and answered any questions I had. Peter has a very calm demeanor and that really helped ease my nerves, as this was all so new to me. He and his staff showed compassion and were always friendly when I went to the office. I can't remember a time that I emailed him and didn't have a response in less than an hour, even on weekends and at night. He was always easy to get in touch with and promptly responded if not available right away. When it came time to settle, no decisions were made without me, and I fully trusted his advice and experience. I would recommend Attorney Appleton to anyone, without hesitation.

I have known Mr. Appleton for over fifteen years. He is a kind man and an intelligent and experienced attorney. Peter proved to be inept and untrustworthy. I was never made to feel like my case was a priority and repeatedly had to compel him to move the case forward. He was extremely hard to reach and I usually had interaction with his paralegal. (His paralegal was very kind, and quite knowledgeable, but sh...e could only do so much - and I had not hired her to represent me.) Ultimately, Peter discussed a deal for settlement with the opposing attorney, revealing information which undermined my award. In my absence he told them what I would be willing to settle for, despite the fact that I had asked to hear what they were willing to offer first. He "slipped up" and relayed this to me. I would not recommend his services.

I was hesitant to randomly hire a lawyer; however, I feel I was very fortunate. I hired Mr. Appleton after I had started the process myself so there was a lot I had to bring him up to speed with. He was very patient and set very realistic and clear expectations with me. I had never dealt with this t...ype of situation and he explained things to me to be sure I understood every step since it involved my health and well being. I moved out of state and he was very accommodating with my schedule. He also was very responsive with emails and realized I preferred email communication as it was easier to respond. At the final stages, he was very thorough in making sure I understood every detail of what I was signing. Overall, I found Mr. Appleton very knowledgeable and efficient. I would definitely recommend him for a workers comp claim.
