Just awful. Terribly awful.

Don’t bother filing a Bar complaint. This guy is awful. Scary. Just awful.

Disappointing

Atty Newman dragged on divorce for 2 years. Not qualified for his position! In the end I represented myself and he tried to stop me. In 2 weeks I was able to cut a better deal with a high school diploma. 5 years later he tried to seize my car for the unnecessary charges of meetings I was not invited ...to and were undocumented and unexplained

A horrible experience

Brian Newman mishandled my case so badly that I would have been better off financially if I had gone to court without a lawyer and lost all of the alimony I was receiving

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
