Joel A. DeFelice was born in Leominster, Massachusetts and now resides in Ellington, Connecticut. He received a Bachelor's and Master's Degree from The American University, School of Public Affairs in Washington, D.C., where Joel was a Dean's Scholarship Recipient from 1994 - 1998. Joel received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2006.
Joel is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, and the Tolland County Bar Association. He was President of the Tolland County Bar Association for the 2014-2015 term.
Attorney DeFelice's practice concentrates on civil litigation including business disputes, divorce, custody, and personal injury, criminal law, estate planning, as well as residential and commercial real estate.
Joel serves as a Special Divorce Master for the Rockville (Tolland County) Marriage Dissolution Court. He has advised business clients relating to business acquisition and sales, telecommunication leases, commercial and residential leases, employment and discrimination matters, and product distribution agreements.
In June, 2014, Attorney Joel A. DeFelice was selected for membership into The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 under 40, in Connecticut. This membership is by invitation only, and is extended to attorneys who meet qualifications and practice in the areas of criminal defense, and/or civil plaintiff litigation.
