amazing help when I needed it the most!

Melanie Dunn was there to help me when the school was not looking out for my child's best interest. She helped me by letting me know where the school was lacking in their evaluations. Also helped give me advice to get the aid my son needed to stay safe while at school. Going into PPTs for the firs...t time, is intimating, and not knowing where to turn when you think what they are offering is a tough spot to be in. I was so thankful for all the help and guidance that Melanie was able to give to me. She is such a huge part of why my son was able to get the help he needs in school. She was willing to work with me on a finical level to make sure that my son's safety was taken seriously at school. I would HIGHLY recommend her!

Extremely knowledgeable, prompt response to all communications!!!

I called Melanie after my daughter was expelled from school and I needed legal advice about the upcoming Board of Education hearing and what to expect during this process. She answered all my questions regarding the hearing and offered insite as to certain questions that I should be asking the BOE.... She also reviewed the agreement that we were able to come to regarding the terms, length and continuing education that the BOE was to provide my daughter during the expulsion. Her knowledge was tremendously helpful and I don't know what I would have done without her during such a difficult and stressful time. She answered all of my emails immediately, as well as my calls and was there throughout the entire ordeal even without having any prior notice of the situation. I hope no parent ever faces this situation but if you do Melanie is the attorney to call - highly recommend her!!!

Outstanding communication and expertise

My son has been in special education since entering preschool and is about to graduate HS. It's been a long road through the special ed system - 4 mediations, countless PPTs and some very difficult situations. I was referred to Melanie Dunn when my first attorney retired. She was a welcome advocate. ...Melanie is very smart and understands the system extremely well. She is a tireless listener, even when I was at my most frustrated! and always gave me good advice. She will work hard for you and your child and teach you what you need to know. Melanie's communication skills are outstanding and she was always prompt with email and phone replies. You'll be in excellent hands and can trust her recommendations. My advice to you as a client is to be very organized and get your paperwork in order so she can do her best job. If you hire Melanie Dunn, you'll be in great hands!
