Jacob's practice focuses on civil, criminal, family, and appellate work. Jacob has successfully argued multiple appeals at the Vermont Supreme Court.
Prior to law school, Jacob appeared in child support court in Chittenden County, Vermont as an Office of Child Support paralegal. During law school, Jacob clerked for the Vermont Attorney General’s Office, Criminal Division and then the Chittenden County State’s Attorney’s Office, where he assisted in multiple criminal trials as a student intern and gained valuable litigation and research experience. Also during law school, Jacob was a student practitioner at the South Royalton Legal Clinic, where he appeared in court in divorce, parentage, and relief from abuse actions.
Jacob was also selected for the Schweitzer Fellowship Program, a program comprised of a select few law students and medical students committed to serving and empowering vulnerable communities and to promoting positive change.
Jacob is a musician, often skis, loves fishing, and enjoys playing chess.
