We couldn't have found a better attorney or a better human being to represent my injured wife--total all-out commitment

Atty. Chip Powell is the real deal -- we couldn't have found a better attorney or a better human being to represent my injured wife. Total all-out commitment -- an expert in his field, and a delight to be around (his gentle sense of humor was very helpful). He clearly knows the ropes from decades of ...keenly polished experience working with the insurance personnel & their attorneys, the judges & all the authorities concerned, & was very good at teaching/explaining to us what comes next, why, how, when. Whenever we e-mailed/texted questions/concerns, Chip (or his super-bright/capable assistant, Sindy) responded quickly. He was able to allay many of our ongoing fears and let us know what the likelihood/probability was of the various outcome(s). We highly recommend him & his assistant/secretary, Sindy--what a GREAT team. Injured? Look no further, Atty. Chip Powell & Sindy will guide you through the rough waters ahead as they did for us. The insurer denied many parts of my wife's claim, but had my wife's back for the medical & legal aspects. We worked closely with him (& Sindy) and he supported us through all the emotional ups & downs, insurer's denials, their investigators & "independent" medical examinations/examiners as well as the endless delaying tactics which they employ to wear down a claimant. Even the medical specialists we went to were good as long as we steered clear of rabbit holes some of their advisors were trying to send us down--again, Chip helped us with tactfully/graciously backing out of those unneeded/costly medical procedures which would not have improved my wife's traumas (nor have been legally provable), and they would have taken up a great deal more time. Chip was really good at helping us with all these mind-numbing & draining mis-directions in 3.5 years of our lives. The pain & frustrating limitations of an injury were so much less compared to the lengths the insurer & their well-paid colleagues were willing to go to--all to get my wife to go away with as little cost to them as possible. Atty. Powell got both of us through these many hells with no guarantee of being paid (we hired him pro bono), yet he still worked with & fought for us as if we were paying him.

WHEN PRESSURE IS ON/CHARLES WILL KEEP FOCUS ON GETTING RESULTS

I had alot of negativity headed my way in my worker's comp. injury case. The people I thought were there to help me, some were truly genuine caregivers, while others, my thinking they had my best interest in hand, actually were creating a lot of damage in my case undermining the good that was trying... to happen. I began to feel alot of distrust and had no where to turn since the people who I thought were there to help were actually working against me every step of the way, creating an unhealthy enviironment for the physician as well as myself to try to resolve my injury. No one working for w/c told me my rights, options or plans. Their main goal was to get me MMI and back to work as quickly and cheaply as possible, with unresolved pain. It was an uphill battle all the way. My work entails lifting which really was not an appropriate return to work in my condition. Thankful to my sister who worked in Voc. Rehab for over 30 years in Ohio, she said I needed some legal advice; and through the online legal helpline, I was introduced to Charles L. Powell, Esquire. Immediately I received a call that evening and numerous email contacts following, answering the many questions that were facing me. Charles kept everything as simple and basic as far as the focus of what was pertinent for me to concentrate on for turning things my way. He was able to guide me effectively to relieve any snowballing issues that were at hand and kept the focus and goal simple. Without his expertise, my case would certainly have been in a different spiraling direction, especially under time constraints that were facing me. I was well on my way of being prematurely rated maximum medical improvement without exhausting my options. Charles gave me the confidence and approval to put the control back to where it belonged, in the hands of the treating physician and told me my rights in a world that was foreign to me as far as how it operates.

"Chip is a smart, creative, and dedicated trial lawyer. He does not represent insurance companies or big corporations. Instead, he is dedicated to helping real people with real injuries, and to holding accountable those who have negligently or recklessly hurt others. Chip cares about his clients, and works tirelessly to discover the truth of his client's injuries and how their lives have been changed. Insurance companies know that he will not back down or settle for anything less than full and fair compensation. I am very proud to recommend and endorse Chip Powell."
