DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN

Mr. Shankman is only out for himself. He breached attorney client privilege to benefit himself, invoices are NEVER accurate, very unorganized, he nor his staff respond to e-mails, or voicemails timely ( sometimes 3 months later), misplacing files, other clients files in FULL VIEW during appointment...s, lack of professionalism all around, double talker, best interest of client is NOT on his agenda, failure to perform conflict of interest checks, roaming eyes, foul language. He will drain you for all the money you have and DON'T have!! This is NOT an exaggeration. After 3 years and over $30k, and due to his failure to perform a conflict check on Attorney Jon Plourde, whom he hired after his license was reinstated from a 2 year suspension (Mr. Plourde had represented my ex in another firm) Mr. Shankman had to withdraw from my case within 48 hours of our court hearing. A blessing in disguise, as I found an excellent Attorney that DID put my best interest first. Please take the time to research his reputation, via Board of Overseers of the Bar, reprimands of the past and currently pending. Do not be fooled! If you have an appointment on the books, please cancel it ASAP.

Not a good attorney

Mr. Shankmans unprofessional-ism was disappointing. Very forgetful, arrogant, was not good with numbers. Hired him for my divorce and fired him as he was to egotistical for my liking. I think he takes on too many cases and does not have any type of personal touch to his client as well any compassion d...uring stressful times.
