Amanda Harris

The Law Office of Amanda Harris, PLLC, advocates on behalf of immigrants hoping to reunite families, seeking safety from civil strife in their homelands, and working to build lives in the United States. I work directly with immigrants and their families, and offer brief writing and appellate work on behalf of other immigration attorneys.

My experience as a criminal and civil litigator informs my removal defense strategy. I prepare for a removal trial the same as I would prepare for a felony charge; I understand this is a person’s life on the line. Through diligent research of country conditions, legal precedent, and a creative approach to crafting the narrative and legal argument, I will advocate on your behalf as though it were my own.

I take particular joy in preparing an appellate argument and drafting appeal briefs to the Board of Immigration Appeals. In the current climate of xenophobia and willful blindness to the human rights violations of our time, I take pride in challenging Immigration Judge’s reading of precedent and interpretation of testimony. I firmly believe that no case is hopeless, that every application has a winning argument, if you can just find the right angle.
