Cameron T. Ellis

Cameron represented me in court for a traffic related misdemeanor. I do not live in Maine, and I was going to be on vacation for my court date. He was extremely professional, attentive and detailed. He went to court for me and got the charges dismissed. I never had to come back up to Maine to resolve... this issue or step foot in court. Best of all my vacation to the West Coast was not impacted. I am a Massachusetts resident and I hired Attorney Ellis after being clocked at 104MPH on a 70MPH Highway while passing through Maine. It was about 4 in the morning. I was given a court date in Maine charged with Criminal Speeding. In Maine I think the policy is anything over 100mph by default requir...es jail time. Luckily I found Attorney Ellis. I only had to come up to Maine once to meet him in person for the consultation. He was understanding, polite, and professional. (Also reasonably priced) During the consultation, he gave me a list of things to do on my end to try and get the best outcome possible. I did community Service of 60 hours (Of my choice) the Defensive Driving Online Course, and got some letters written. Throughout the month it took me to do the above Attorney Ellis was always very easy to reach with questions/concerns. The End Result: rfee Case Dismissed! All criminal charges were dropped no jail time, no record, no more community service hours required. The ticket was simply dropped down to your common civil speeding ticket. I did not even have to appear in court, Attorney Ellis went in my place. All this was done on the day of the arraignment it didn't even go to trial because Cameron Ellis was able to pull the DA aside on the Arraignment, present the case and my efforts (community service etc..) and he got the DA to drop the case then and there. Again, I didn't even have to attend. I cant even begin to explain how relived I was. This giant thing over my head would not be prolonged, because I had a good lawyer. Thank You Attorney Ellis

I hired Cameron Ellis in fall 2016 to help me with a charge of aggravated criminal mischief. The charge was a felony and at the time I had just started school. I thought I was going to put in a position where I would have to drop out. I talked to 3 local lawyers and Cameron seemed to be the most pers...onable. When we consulted he seemed very understanding of the situation and recommended some things I could do pre trial to prepare. Even though I rarely needed to contact him after the initial consultation he was easy to get ahold of if need be. When my trial date arrived I showed up with some community service hours, restitution money, and apology letters to the victims. Cameron presented it to the DA and somehow came to an agreement to have the case filed for a year with the acception of no more criminal charges. After that it will be dismissed. Cameron is a great lawyer. He helped me through a tough time in my life and I believe he does for many others. If you need a lawyer in southern Maine then I highly recommend him!
