Pamela received a double Bachelors of Art with high honors from the University of Hartford. After extensive travel, Pamela received her law degree from the University of Maine in 1999. Pamela is currently licensed to practice in Maine and Vermont, specializing in family law and Guardian ad litem work. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Maine State Bar Association, York County Bar Association, Guardian ad litem Connection and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts. Pamela is an active supporter of KidsFirst and is the volunteer coordinator for York County in the Access to Justice Campaign. As a member of the Board of Directors for Caring Unlimited, Pamela actively seeks to educate on the impact of domestic abuse on children. Pamela is the owner of Holmes Legal Group, LLC and enjoys the ability to focus her practice in areas that are challenging and rewarding. She believes that often resolutions can be achieved through mediated agreements and that parties are more compliant with judgments that they have had a role in creating. Through her work in family law matters, Pamela often seeks the involvement of the parties to achieve a resolution. If a resolution cannot be achieved by agreement, honest and competent representation throughout the court process is provided. It is a goal at Holmes Legal Group to ensure that all clients are represented at a reasonable cost and that the cost of resolving legal difficulties is fair and appropriate.

Family Law Attorney
I retained Pam about 10 years ago for a contentious post-judgment child custody motion. At the time, I was five years into a shared 50/50 residential order that wasn’t working for my kids, and we needed a change. Anyone familiar with this process knows it’s not an easy thing to do. Good Evening Lloyd, Please feel free to reach out to me as I do not have a record of representing you myself. You may have had a relationship with another attorney that is no longer in the firm. Regarding your concern about paying up front, we must receive a retainer for work in advance of undertaking the work to ensure that we are paid. Any unused portion of your retainer should have been refunded and, again, please reach out if you have concerns about the status of your refund. I cannot say why the representation was terminated but appeals are a very specific burden to demonstrate that there is an error in the law of the lower court.
"Attorney Holmes is one of the best family law attorneys I have ever worked against. She is a staunch advocate for her clients, but she is not unreasonable or unnecessarily adversarial in her advocacy. Pam is also a skilled litigator who has always represented her clients well at trial. If you are in need of strong family law attorney in York or Cumberland County, I would highly suggest retaining Attorney Holmes."
