David was really great to work with on my criminal speeding case. I live out of state and needed someone to represent me when I couldn't make it to my court dates due to work. Maine has been pushing for jail time when caught doing 30mph over the speed limit. David had the jail time dropped and inste...ad, I was able to do 20hrs of community service and pay a fine. David was very professional and has an excellent knowledge of the law. i had a restriction code on my license indicating that I could not operate a vehicle if I had consumed any amount of alcohol ( "0" tolerance.) The arresting officer's report had many discrepancies. my initial thought was to try to... discredit the report. David explained that to do that would be next to impossible because I had no proof that the report wasn't accurate and it would only be unfavorable for me to take that approach. Instead David formed a defense using the accurate statements in the officer's report that indicated my vehicle was not running and that I was on my cell phone when he approached me. it was cold out and I had previously started my car with a remote starter to heat up the car so I could call a friend on my cell and get a ride home because I had consumed alcohol. I never put the keys in the ignition and was not attempting to drive. David worked with the DA and was successful in having the case put in a "filing" category for 12 months and if no other arrest happen during that period the file would be removed. I did not have to plea guilty and no fine was imposed. The one year suspension on my license was rescinded by the bureau of motor vehicles, this was a accomplished because David had clearly explained to me the process involved with a hearing which gave me the knowledge to request a dismal when the arresting officer failed to appear due to a scheduling error. I could not be any happier with the outcome of my case. I had total confidence in David right after our initial consultation and he continued to impress throughout the entire process.
