yler has a diverse litigation practice including criminal defense, appellate advocacy, civil litigation, and employment law in state and federal courts.

Tyler has over a decade of experience in criminal defense. He is a graduate of NHTSA’s DWI Detection and Field Sobriety Testing training course. This is the exact training that law enforcement officers receive, making Tyler uniquely qualified to challenge evidence in OUI cases on behalf of his clients. Tyler was also selected by his peers in the Maine Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys to write amicus curiae briefs to the Maine Law Court in State v. Lemunier-Fitzgerald and State v. Day, each of which dealt with the constitutional issues implicated by Maine’s implied consent statute.

Tyler is also an excellent appellate attorney. He has argued dozens of cases before the Maine Supreme Judicial Court and First Circuit Court of Appeals in a wide range of practice areas, including land use, defamation, First Amendment law, employment law, and criminal defense. In law school, Tyler won first place in two national moot court competitions and first place in two school-level competitions.
