I am a licensed attorney in the State of Maine, and my primary focus is criminal and OUI defense in all state and federal courts in Maine. My firm, The Maine Criminal Defense Group, helps good people in a bad situation avoid serious criminal consequences. It is our mission to help those facing criminal charges by communicating with them and guding them through the criminal law process, while also strongly advocating on their behalf for the right outcome.
On a personal note, I grew up in Southern Maine before moving to Arizona in 2005. In 2014, I returned home for law school, and have been here ever since. I am an avid music, trivia, and movie fan, and I currently volunteer my time as a Board of Directors member for the Sanford Mainers Baseball Organization in Sanford, Maine.

Amazing result from a talented attorney
I hired Nathan Hitchcock from The Maine Criminal Defense group after being arrested for an OUI and drug possession charge over a year after being arrested, but I wish I called the day of arrest, as he and the team are an amazing, talented group of attorneys who got me back on my feet within only a co...

Relief for OUI
Nathaniel and his team did a fantastic job handling my OUI case. To say the least, I should have probably gone to jail. This, however, was not the case as Nathaniel worked his magic. Not only is he well-versed in the law, but he walked me through the entire process in a way that any lay person cou...

A Great Result!
Nathan Hitchcock and WTB LAW recently defended my son on charges for marijuana trafficking in one jurisdiction and a separate count of OUI in another jurisdiction. As an out-of-state parent of a new Maine resident we depended heavily on internet reviews to choose a lawyer. My son’s future was at st...
"Nathaniel is a extremely knowledgeable and personable, two important traits for a lawyer to have. He is willing to fight for his clients to ensure they receive the best outcome possible, and has a great rapport in the local legal community."
"I endorse this lawyer. Attorney Hitchcock is an extremely dedicated and detail oriented defense attorney. He is an effective and caring advocate who works tirelessly to bring about the best possible results for his clients."
"Attorney Hitchcock is the type of lawyer you want handling your case. He is knowledgeable, trustworthy, understanding, and a fierce advocate for his clients. Whether your case is a misdemeanor or felony, Attorney Hitchcock treats every case with the same attention to detail and zealous advocacy. You will never find him unprepared for a case. I would gladly recommend Attorney Hitchcock to my own family and friends."
"I endorse this lawyer. Attorney Hitchcock began his legal career working as a law clerk for WTB LAW prior to the start of his 3rd year of law school. During his law school experience, he worked at the State Attorney General's Office prosecuting drug crimes. During his time working for WTB LAW as a law clerk, I had ample time to observe him and review his work. I was so impressed with his skill set that I offered him a position as a 1st year associate at WTB LAW. Attorney Hitchcock's experience runs the gamut of criminal cases and includes argument for sentencing on a high profile arson case, assisting me in a high stakes felony sex case, arguing motions to suppress evidence in OUI cases and conducting a multitude of bail hearings. In addition to the great deal of experience he's gained since becoming a member of WTB LAW, he has attended numerous CLE events, including a DUI seminar in Boston and a 4th Amendment seminar in NYC. Attorney Hitchcock is truly a rising star."
