Shelley really had my back through all of my custody related court hearings. I reached out to Attorney Carter seeking assistance on how to manage a vacation property owned by my parents after the death of my father. Attorney Carter was rude, difficult, and combative during a five minute initial phone call. She was condescending and insulting and her tone was inappropriate f...or someone who is expected to be professional. She was frustrated with me for not knowing all the details of the property when I was reaching out to her for help in understanding the process. I am appalled that a professional would not take the time with a potential client and attempt to guide me through a difficult process. She sounded more inconveinenced than anything and I sensed nothing but anger. This was a five minute call - the second one I placed because the first one was not returned. Rather than continue with what was an utterly absurd conversation, I told her I'd be seeking assistance elsewhere as she demonstrated rather quickly her true nature as a person. I don't know why she would treat a complete stranger with such an attitude, especially one who is grieving and looking for help for my elderly, now widowed mother, but I would NOT advise anyone to work with her, ever.
