Anthony Muir

Attorney Anthony Muir is a seasoned family law litigator and mediator with over a decade of experience representing clients in some of the most challenging matters heard in New Hampshire’s Family Division, Probate Division, District Division, and Superior Court.

Anthony represents clients in divorce and parenting disputes, child custody and support matters, guardianships, domestic relations issues, and modification actions. His practice also includes complex litigation, high-conflict parenting matters, and appellate advocacy before the New Hampshire Supreme Court.

Anthony’s background includes specialized, practice-ready training through the Daniel Webster Scholars Honors Program, a nationally recognized, highly selective, and rigorously clinical program designed to produce client-ready attorneys. In law school, Anthony also served as an officer of the UNH Law Review, strengthening his research, writing, and analytical skills — all of which now support his work in contested family law cases.

In addition to litigation, Anthony provides mediation services, helping families find practical, durable solutions outside of court. His approach emphasizes clear communication, strategic thinking, and steady guidance during highly emotional situations.

Anthony began his career at Soule, Leslie, Kidder, Sayward & Loughman, PLLC, where he practiced for a decade before joining Russman & Phinney in Exeter. His work has included both trial-level representation and successful appellate advocacy before the New Hampshire Supreme Court.

Anthony earned his J.D. from the University of New Hampshire School of Law and holds a B.A. from Merrimack College, where he graduated with highest honors, completed a double major in Political Science and Philosophy, and received the Cardinal Cushing Medal, awarded to the top-ranking Social Science student.
