Replied last July 17, 2017I'm sorry for the trouble you experienced. Unfortunately, the scenario you described did not involve me. You may have the wrong DiCristofaro, if at all. I have never purchase a used car from anyone. From the title issues you describe, there would have been an immediate "claim" filed against me by the title insurance company. Or worst, they would have sued me. I have never had a claim filed against me, or been sued, by any title insurance company. However, although it is not uncommon for old mortgages to pop up on different title searches, they are easily rectified. It sounds like your post-closing situation was handled in a satisfactory manner. Possibly, you may have seen my name on your mortgage as the "Notary Public". If so, my duty was to act as a witness/notary, only, for your closing, without any "title" responsibilities. I hope this helps to clear things up for you.
