Avoid Metlife Legal Plan Hell

Contacted this law office at the end of July. Sent all my documents over as requested via email: no response. As of today (October 4), I've called 4 times and there has been no progress or follow up. Absolutely wild behavior.

If zero stars were a thing...

If I could give zero or negative stars, I would. Ed was hired through the Metlife Legal Plan services and I feel he dragged his feet purposely on a boundary line dispute to continue getting paid from the insurance plan. He was horrible at follow up, taking weeks to answer questions via email and bare...ly put effort into the reply, or he would take weeks to return a call. After a few months of working on this case for me, ad due to circumstances changing in my personal life, I needed to sell my property quickly and literally had to beg him to call me back to discuss. He was rude, told me essentially that I had been peppering him with "thousands of emails" (which was not the case), for "just a fence" issue. He was immediately fired and I have an attorney now who is attentive and responsive and provides updates without me asking for them. Please stay clear of this man at all costs, even if it doesn't cost you anything out of pocket. You couldn't pay me to hire him again. If he were over capacity, the decent thing to do is to tell someone you do not have the ability to take on anymore cases...especially if you feel it's beneath you for a "little fence" issue...

Worst 'lawyer' I've ever had to deal with

Hired Ed to handle a relative's estate. Awful does not even begin to describe this guy. No follow up on ANYTHING, provided the same documents over and over, and any time I did ask, God forbid, what the status was on my case, I either got crickets or a nasty, defensive answer. His support staff are ev...en worse.

Poor performance

Ed McCormick does not communicate in a timely fashion, nor does he listen to client's requests. I did most of the research and paperwork for the case. Conversations/emails are defensive when inquiring about the status of a case.

Poor representation/Communication

Attorney McCormick assured me my ex would not be allowed to move my daughters across the country. Not only was it an expensive process but we lost the case. I personally believe if he had put any effort into my case, I would be with my daughters right now. I do not recommend his services.
