Hired Tim to help resolve what should have been a closed case

I hired Tim to help me with my divorce after having bad luck with another attorney. During my consultation with Tim, he asked in-depth questions and took notes. After going through the mess that I had, Tim gave me a very honest assessment of what my options were. He let me know that I needed to put t...hought into how I was looking to resolve this conflict and asked me to take time before making up my mind. I decided to hire Tim to help me and I have not regretted it. Tim and his office immediately got to work on my case. He is intelligent and honest. He tells you everything you need to know, good or bad. His style is direct and he doesn't waste time, which is appreciated because it can be easy to veer off track and waste time and money. It is clear that he understands Rhode Island family law better than most others do. He also understands that divorce is messy and emotional for the parties involved and he does a fantastic job of making sure to separate that from his work. He is a true professional. Angelina has also helped in my case. She is very thoughtful, organized, and thorough in her work. She follows up and makes sure that she has all the information needed for whichever document she is preparing. And she is also very communicative. This office is a well oiled machine. You will not regret choosing Tim to represent you if you find yourself in this situation.

Poor follow up from him and his office

I hired Attorney Conlon years ago to handle a child support case and its initial paperwork against the state. As we are not all trained attorneys, he did not bother to explain things in normal terms, which created confusion. A few years after the filing of the paperwork and not hearing from the RI co...urts, I called and emailed to see the status of the case. His office assistant stated that the case was closed, although that meant nothing as there was no formal backup/support to back up their statement. I was expected to trust their word, although they did not specify anything. Fast forward a few years later and I get a court hearing for child support as I moved back to a blue state. I immediately contacted him and his office where he visited the Providence Court House said the case was closed from an administrative standpoint, but it was never closed via an adjudication process. Geez, I wished that was told to me in the first place vs the office staff simply stating that it was closed and that's it. I had to hire a local attorney in my state to help me with the case to ensure all steps were being followed in CT. Thankfully everything came out OK, but this process ended up turning into 6 years of agony and not knowing what the heck was going on. I'm sure if it were a divorce case where I dropped 200k, I'm sure the response would have been better. Regardless, you have a duty to properly represent your client, which includes answering questions and addressing concerns...many of which were not met.

Parental alienation divorce case

I highly recommend Timothy Conlon. I think of him as my Guardian Angel. I went through an extremely difficult divorce where my children, ages 7 and 11, were alienated by their Father against me and my entire family to the point where they would not call me Mom, would not speak to me on the phone, a...nd threw things at me in the presence of the counselor. At one point I thought I would never see my children again. After hiring 2 different attorneys who were not able to reunite me with my children, I saw an ad for Tim Conlon that said he dealt with difficult child custody cases. I prayed to God every day. Tim was able to appoint a new counselor to my case who helped reunite me to my children after 2 1/2 years of not seeing them. Tim got me joint custody and put motions in place to provide me additional time with my children. Tim believed in me and fought for me every step of the way. I am forever grateful to Tim Conlon. I have a close relationship with my children who are both in college now. God bless you Tim!

Great in divorce trial involving complex financials + tech is his friend

Tim and his team were the only lawyers I've worked with who understand and use Excel spreadsheets, online document sharing, and even projectors in court to more easily organize and help the judge, and even the forensic accountants -understand the facts of the case. The financials were complex, involv...ing multiple currencies, countries and languages. He also did the best and most thorough prep I've ever received before I had to go on the stand. I've been deposed several times before and wish he had prepped me then. Lastly, we ended up with a pretty good resolution to the then two-year-long case. No divorce case ends perfectly, but I think this result was fair to both parties while not wasting too many more weeks in trial.

Incredible Attorney

My case was complicated by the politics of the Family Court. Tim got to know the details of my case. He made sure that when a motion was brought to court on my behalf, he was prepared to win. He is respectful of the court. Gets to know the players of the case. He does his homework thoroughly. H...e does not give you false hope. He speaks straight up to you. I would absolutely recommend him. I wish I started my divorce out with him.
