Exceptional

My experience with Attorney Pierson was nothing short of exceptional. Sara is knowledgeable and professional, while remaining caring and kind. She coached me prior to my court date on what to expect and was able to reach a favorable resolution quickly and efficiently. I would recommend Pierson Law to... anyone looking for legal counsel.

Professional and Hard Working Attorney!

Solicitor Pierson is an incredible attorney for the City of Providence. She takes her time with each case and works hard to uphold all laws. Working with her, she goes above and beyond her job title concerning complaining witnesses and victims, answering all messages, and keeping them updated. She is... very attentive to active cases and does everything in her power to get the best results in the interest of justice.

Nightmare experience

Horrible, spent a year working on a case for me. Never once was able to get a hold of her via phone. Called her office multiple times and was told she was working from home. That’s awesome, so connect me to my appointed attorney so we can communicate? She’s still working right? I left two messages wh...ich were never returned over the course of a year. After attempting to reach out to her again via her phone I was blamed via email for not being contacted. Sara asked if I had left her a message. Why would I bother leaving you another message and wasting my time just to have my phone call not returned? Every single pannel on my car had been keyed resulting in 3500$ worth of damages. One year later, restitution is paid for 750$. I feel bad if you’re being represented by Sara. She offered zero explanation for anything going on in the case. If I was a lawyer and understood all the legal terms being discussed would I have needed an attorney in the first place? It was like pulling teeth getting any information or even getting in contact with Sara. Sara is the type of public solicitor that asks if you need quarters for cigarettes in the holding cell because you’re not getting out anytime soon. Being paid salary there’s no incentive to win your case. It doesn’t matter the results of your case, the only thing that matters is the case is closed.

Attorney Pierson is an Assistant Solicitor and experienced criminal prosecutor who represents the City of Providence. All courts in Rhode Island were operating remotely for some time during the Covid19 pandemic and Attorney Pierson was working remotely. Attorney Pierson is often in court, and she takes pride in responding to calls and emails in a timely manner. It appears you are disappointed in the restitution amount determined for your case and you hold Attorney Pierson responsible for this. In the criminal court, restitution amounts are based on actual out of pocket expenses incurred by the complaining witness. These are proven by receipts or repair cost estimates. The restitution amount awarded is determined by the Court, not by the prosecutor. The Judge can cap restitution at an amount it determines. Asking Attorney Pierson for $3,500 restitution in your case and calling her office multiple times does not ensure that she can guarantee you that amount, as that is the Court's determination. If the restitution amount you received is not to your satisfaction, you are free to pursue a civil case with an attorney of your choice. Best wishes.
